Thanks. Big Raccoon Creek is really a beautiful canoeing/Kayaking creek. It's small with no white water and very little rock like Sugar Creek. It also has almost NO traffic, so an early departure from say Mansfield to Bridgeton @ 9 to 10 AM would find lots of wildlife on the creek. By late May on the water is warm enough to get your feet wet and not be to cold, although since water comes off of the Bottom of Raccoon lake all summer lond, the water from there to Mansfield is too cold for tubing all summer, for me anyway!
Thanks for the comment check out our web sute @ Raccooncreekvoyageurs.com or call me @ 7655923723

Tim..

Mike has been loyal to Purdue. Given them nearly 100 million dollars for the golf course and the nanoscience building and other projects.

We made a "bomb" in chemistry class. If you were to do that today everyone would be in jail. The teacher helped us. It was actually a very large firecracker with homemade powder. Not much of a boom there. His wife if from Terre Haute and her parents still live here.

If you are in Terre Haute we could have coffee at the Coffee Grounds.

I read that you worked at Telllab. I went to high school with Mike Birck at Hillsdale and we played on the same basketball team for three years. His family lived at the south end of the Vermillion County airport on Ind 63 north in a small four room house. His father was a rural mail carrier. Did you work with Mike. We exchange emails on occassion.

Tim you are correct about the mission. You should only invite people that are leaders in the business community. We do not want this as an open public forum like the TribStar website. As you found out in the sign up process, you must provide your name, title, company/ organization and a discription about your background. Thanks again for joining and helping us get this started.
