Elizabeth, Just a few days notice is all we need. I'm in and out of the office a lot, but If i know what day your coming I'll try to be in all day. Thursdays are days when most everyone is working in the shop but what ever works best for you. Please call or e-mail me direct at RBLeslie11@msn.com or 812-878-7389. Thanks Ron.

Elizabeth, Love your wedding photo's especially the ones that you have with flowers. If you ever get over to Terre Haute, stop in Heinl's Flower Shop at 7th and Walnut Street. I would love to introduce you the the owner and her wedding consultants. If I can ever be of any help to your business, please let me know. Ron

That's ok. You know your community better than me. I have had great success in some areas with a few misses here and there. Schools are a good location in general but without local support, I won't book the sessions. Give me call sometime. Let's compare marketing ideas.

Here's another thought. Would your school consider hosting a "Pet Portrait" fundraiser? I could set up my mobil studio in the gym to photograph pets and thier people and donate the session fee to the local animal shelter. The ones I work with around Indy charge $15-25 a session that the shelter keeps. I then put the images online for them to order. I usually have a sweet deal for quick orders!
Think about it. Great for Christmas gift giving.

Great! Thanks for the referal. I only work on location so she doesn't have to transport her "babies" out of their comfort zone. Encourage her to call me to discuss her needs and we'll work on a customized session to fit her needs. (812-238-9434) I can even schedule several families at one location for a reduced session fee. She can see her images online a few days later or come to me for a proofing session. Send her to my website for a look at my galleries. www.DawnEllenStudios.com

Sounds like a great plan. My aunt owns McDaniel Catering in Paris, Il. I'll pass along the info as soon as you get it all together.

I looked into doing a pet expo here. My biggest hurdle was every location wanted a 2 million dollar insurance certificate from every vendor! Plus they wanted to charge me (as the promoter) for each booth space. I think that is why renting space at these expos is usually so crazy expensive. The promoter has to cover her own expenses plus advertise the event. The average cost to a vendor at any large event ie home show, expos etc is $350 for a two day event. I can do better elsewhere. Good luck with one near you.

So maybe that's how I know your name. Did you have a booth at the wedding expo? I get mixed reviews from other photogs that it's worth the expense. I do a lot of community events that support a cause I believe in and enjoy meeting new clients that way. Animals remain my focus but this economy is rough so I have been doing more reunions and family portraits than anything else. Weddings are a growing part of my business even though most callers are just looking for the images on a CD. I am amazed how little value brides are putting on thier wedding portraits these days. They forget how much those images will mean to them and thier children in 30 years!

Welcome to my world, Elizabeth! I just shot a wedding over near Clarksville. I tend to get clients from all over the Wabash Valley but rarely near Marshall. You must be doing something right! Good luck with your studio. Love to meet you sometime. Your work is sweet.

I know there was a Bush who was superintendent of schools, because our football field is named for him. But as far as I know, there aren't any photography shops in Marshall other than my studio and one other which is operated by a guy named Baldomero.
